LAURA GRAVEN
A Cornish Artist
After graduating from Margaret Street Art School in Birmingham Laura went on to teach art. Her teaching took her to Budapest where she lead the art department in a private International School. Laura has recently returned to Cornwall where she seeks inspiration from the coast and the colours of the sea. Laura has exhibited in the Cotswolds, Budapest, Birmingham, and Cornwall. Laura welcomes commission requests.
MY STORY
I aim to create conversations between colours. There are many words and sounds that come from the sea and this is where I find my main inspirations. Sometimes the conversations are harmonious and sometimes clashing with contrasting colours. I aim to produce work that creates a feeling of melancholy that so many feel when they have visited Cornwall.
